Happy New year everyone.

Just a question for all reguarding the BC 785D with BCI card installed. While comparing
a Pro96 with my 785D while receiving NHSP P25 system my Pro96 decoded all as should be.
The 785D came across with the dreaded BUZZ saw. The pro96 has the stock duck while the 785D was using a tri-band larsen permament mount antenna on roof of my truck. I check all the settings in the 785D but can not figure out the problem. Any suggestions with this? ?

Thanks in advance
Jimmy

This is a common problem with Unidens, it appears that the Pro96 has a better track record at decoding various iterations of APCO25 digital.

There is a method of fine tuning the digital reception on the 785 that is detailed in your owners manual. This tunes the digital decoder to match the signal so that more reliable reception is possible.

The system you are trying to monitor is it a type 2 3600 baud or a P25 9600 baud? The 785 will not track the 9600 P25 system.

HI MIKE,

They are using a VHF conventional P25 system
