The Ironman command team used Nextel 800 Mhz phones from the St George PD EOC.. The UCAN radio`s were provided by Salt Lake (only for the event) and were motorola handhelds. I was a dispatcher on the Ham Radio Linked System. 146.640 Stout Hill, 145.450 & 145.490 on Utah Hill etc.. We also used 146.910 if needed. Your medical dispatch you heard was Dixie Ambu and the county dispatch sitting side by side in the EOC. We had just about everybody in the whole county with a person there. They were either on a remote base (VHF) or on the UCAN 800 Mhz or linked via the web to their dispatch. We watched both an Ironman feed as well as a traffic camera remote feed controlled by the EOC..
