Thanks very much mike. I apologize everyone. I forgot their was idiots in the world and got caught up in the moment! I guess I was one of those idiots in that post

Should we refrain from putting DSN numbers and use station names only?

Yes, and I would just mention there was a phone call or patch - don't go any further than that. It seems to be the general direction in other lists, and we should likely follow suit

best regards..Mike

Yup I was listening to 8.992 last night for several seconds. I am only using an AM only broadcast receiver and have to use one of those Ten Tec SSB BFOs just to hear USB , LSB , and CW. So I heard the modulated voice on AM and when I went to tune it to USB the voice was gone. This was last night. And so is it just it a radio way of USAF bases around the world then?

I heard a strange Skyking call by Andrews tonight followed by the word "Deteroriate". That was it!
There has been some strange activity on 11175 the last couple of weeks.

That's because of the crisis in Libya. Just waiting for the USS Enterprise's F/A-18's to start bombing, and the rest of the carrier fleet start shooting there G2A missiles!

That's nothing I have ever heard before- on the third section of the message, the phone rang while he was about in the middle of the message. I just found that interesting.

Does anyone have a list of what the messages mean? Since tonight, I have been logging the messages just to see paterns in them to help me better understand them, and their structure. Seems like they repeat the "preamble" or the "header" in data terms 4 times, then go with the whole message. I have been seeing the first three messages are 6 charaters, and then they add to the six charaters on the fourth message. Further research goes on, I'm just curious to see the structure. Obviously their is no way I can break the messages- I'm not even bothering!

Have had one at 06, 17, 30, and 32 past the hour, at 01 zulu on 3-12-11.

Here is an interesting EAM I caught this morning.

3/15
For Stoking and Atomic Jets...message follows...This was repeated two times followed by a short EAM.

I wonder if this message was directed to assets involved with the Japan power plant situation?

That's a great assumption. Kinda scary almost.

Was it Andrews or an airborne platform??

I was listening to 8992 and also picked it up. The EAM came from Andrews.

Cool

I think the callsigns are Silken and Atomic.

Atomic is a known callsign for F16s. No record of Silken.

I don't believe their is any around- you can try Global Tuners though, if you can find a available receiver.

Excellent...that was it thanks Brandon!!! Sounds like "So-kin" or Stokin and Atomic Jets now that I listen to it more closely. Definitely an interesting call.
