Just monitored my first "Mainsail" broadcast of phonetic alphabet characters (didn't write them down) on my recently purchased PL-880 in my downstairs living room with supplied plug in wire antenna strung up to the ceiling fan and over to an artificial hanging plant. HaHa

Apparently Mainsail doesn't listen before he opens his mouth - commonly called an alligator - all mouth and no ears! I was listening on 8992kHz which is good down here in the evening say 0700z - Convoy 3921 called up asking for a phone patch to Hickham for weather - while the patch was going through, Mainsail came on all frequencies and sent his groups for about 5 minutes! Convoy 3921 had to re-establish the patch once Mainsail had finished. I have 70+MB of recording!
