I was listening to them on WEBSDR (Netherlands) as you can see by my pic there, but then I thought.....ok......bedtime.....Let me just turn on my PL 880 portable and tune to that frequency and put it in USB just for the heck of it. Bammm comms were coming in loud and clear and I'm in Southern Indiana with a portable and just the whip antenna. Freak of propagation or are their transmitters that powerful or a relay type system? And you mentioned a East coast. The submarine is on East coast of US?

Sorry I should clarify, when I said the only sub on the east coast, I meant the only sub stationed on the east coast of Canada. The RCN (Royal Canadian Navy) doesn't really have much of a sub fleet :)

Oh ok. For some reason, I thought it was a Great Britain Sub and it was over somewhere on the European coast (The English Channel or something). J/K
I've got some researchin' to do before I post!! Ha
