If I could post my radio programming information can someone tell me if PL tones are set correctly.

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.
To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.
The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Its pretty hard to screw them up. You can only select PL tones fron the list in the CE 44 software. Are you currently having a problem? If so, it could be that they are not set correctly for your system. This is a pretty subjective issue. We'd have to know your system's actual specs to know if you have your programming set up correctly.

Yes we are having issues with static/skip something. It is horrible.

What kind of environment are you operating in? Simplex on a single frequency, a single-site repeater, a repeater system with multiple receivers, or something more complex like a simulcast or multicast wide-area system? Maybe provide a link to the information in the RR database provided it is correct. It might not even be a problem with your individual radio, it could be a problem with the repeater/base station, receivers, etc. There are just too many variables for somebody that knows nothing about your system to be able to look at your programming and tell if it's right or not.

Simplex single frequency for New London Fire. We transmit direct to dispatch on 155.145 and receive direct on 155.145 pl tone 118.8
Neighboring towns receive on repeater.
I spoke to a programmer at A&W communications who is going to help with this. He says that what I am describing seems to be a issue with something within dispatch since they most the time do not hear the static, but show transmit on their monitor. Time will tell I guess. Our pagers according to A&W should NOT be getting the static for any reason. The fact is they do, not only 1 or 2 ofthem but ALL of them we have in use. Same static I am getting on my handhelds, mobiles, pagers, scanners, etc..... it is locking onto 155.145 no matter what the receiver is.

Trouble may even be a p25/digitsl signal on the same freq.
This will be almost impossible to find, and even if you do it will be extremly costly to fix.
How many radios are involved?
As someone said Ill has alot on that freq.
FCC search shows additional control channel, is there a repeater involved?
If so could be on the input of the repeater, even more difficult to find.
