Default Vertes standard EVX-539 audio not clear

Hi Guys,

Hi i'm new here and im not radio operator/engineer. Just purchase new vertex radio EVX--539 digital radio. I noticed the sounds is poor, is there other way i can improve the audio and sounds? any settings recommended? the firmware of the radio is 4.17 .3.25.

1. Do i need to update the firmware?
2. Is there other way i can improve the audio and sounds?
3. Whats the latest firmware of this series?

Yes you could use a firmware/dsp upgrade. Latest is 4.24 and 3.32 from July 2017. PM me and I'll send you a link to download the latest.

Go into the USER CP in the upper left part of the web page... and under OPTIONS click the checkbox to enable Private Messaging.
