Default VX-231 Programming Error Message

I have three VX-231 UHF radios, two that program up just fine in the Amateur Band, 440.000 -446.990. I now have a third radio, same band etc but it will only program outside the Amateur band. The programming software returns "Frequency Range Mismatched!". Any ideas how to get around this?

I am not aware of any way to ‘change’ the frequency range of the VX231’s.

They are pretty cheap on eBay, unfortunately the G6 band split is pretty rare, much more common to see the G7(450-512MHz) radios.
