Norfolk Naval shipyard running a drill tonite with ops on Norfolk Naval Base tac 8, kept mentioning switching back to channel 3 , it was NNSHYFD Disp, time for some research

I wonder if it could be a situation I deal with professionally all the time....

Different user groups program the same talkgroup (GID) into radios with different Alphanumeric Name Designations.

Or worse, they program different talkgroups with the same name!

Keep hearing Oceana Fire Dispatch TG 27175, referred to as Tac 5, Oceana FD units were dispatched to a drill on NNB Fire Dispatch TG 27020, they were told to switch to Tac 5. I'm guessing 27020 is Area wide FD Dispatch for the is area

It appears as if they finally made the switch, the consoles have been setup up at Norfolk Naval base for a while

I know Northwest FD Dispatch is now Tac 10. Wonder if the Shipyard is next?

27023 is Tac 6, but that's for Naval Station Norfolk, just a regular Tac as well as Tac 7

What about 27025? I have it in my logs as NSN Tac 9. Wondering if Norfolk Naval Shipyard FD and Naval Weapons Station Yorktown FD will switch?

I think the alarms at shipyard are a hold up, seems NNSHYFD will be tac 3, nothing on nsn tac9 , tac 7 stayed as tac 7 for midlant, ytnws is in 2nd batt same as NNSHYFD we shall see, have not found tac4 yet

If the NWS Yorktown and NNSYFD switch they'd have to switch numbering, if I'm not mistaken they're numbering is practically the same

District 1 is NNB, little crk/ft story, district 2 NNSHYFD, Yorktown and cheatem, district 3 is Oceana/Dam neck and Northwest and whats left of fentress... looks like District 1 primary tac is 7, district 3 is tac 5, district 2 is 9

Listening to NRMA Commander Tac They conduct radio test twice daily which they contact all of the installations such as NWS Earle and such.

Looks like NNSHYFD is the only one left YTNWS dispatched on midlant today ytnws is tac 4
