Does anyone know what security is using? I see they have Dmr radios just don't know the info and don't have a scanner to monitor it

A very interesting question

Does anyone know what security is using? I see they have Dmr radios just don't know the info and don't have a scanner to monitor it

----------------

The original license 152.3750 mhz.(O)/157.6350 mhz.(I) analog only which stated operation was for security and maintenance (WPTN468) expired in Nov 2011 and was cancelled Jan 2012.

WPNY623 is licensed with a state used for Maintenance analog only on 463.9875(O)/468.9875 mhz.

The NXDN emission license you referenced (WQNK351) solely is for 5 watt HT conventional simplex comms. But what is interesting is the stated use is for "safety and security operations" which I find rather strange for 10 5 watt HT frequencies used as primary comms simplex for a large medical facility security. Security operations for larger hospitals typically are repeater operations. However, I noticed the license contact was "Mace, Inc." that is a major commercial radio services provider which include trs for the Norfolk/Chesapeake/Portsmouth/Va. Beach area. Maybe Mace just provided the HTs & maintenance only or maybe the hospital now also is a user on one of Mace's NXDN area trs.

Mace's trs are out of my monitoring range.

WPYN623 is licensed to Maryview medical center with 4 FB2 and 14 MO frequencies. The FB2 are: 461.225, 461.825, 462.400, 463.9875. Their emission designators are listed as Analog NFM, Analog WFM, IDAS/NEXEDGE and last but not least 2 slot DMR. So take your pick. On FCC website under frequency search, State VA, County Portsmouth.
