PECSO Encyption?

Hello, i just got word that the sheriff's office in Prince Edward County is getting a new radio system for 2019, is there any word on if it will include encryption or will it be encrypted?

PECSO recently went for unknown reasons from Conventional 460.2375 back to a frequency they used over 8 years ago 453.2375. Now the Sheriff has asked for and been granted funds for a P25 system. I fully expect one of the same two freqs to be used and from what I can gather from close associates of the Sheriff that he is totally against encryption (Good for him). So that being said look for them to get new radios on one of the above freqs and it will be an unencrypted P25 system. Three Cheers for the Sheriff of PECVA.
