Greetings
I'm trying to use DSDPlus (FMPA) to scan FM conventional frequncies. I have put teh frequencies in my scan list folder
I start FMPA-VC and use the "S" command, I see that DSDPlus is scanning the frequencies from my scan folder, However, i hear no audio, have DSD" VC" also open

This is my scanlist

460.27500, P25, BW=12.5, "Visalia PD1"
453.65000, FM, BW=12.5, "Visalia PD2"
453.85000, FM, BW=12.5, "Visalia PD3"

What am i doing wrong?

If you're scanning analog channels, then you don't need to run DSD+ at all. Just set FMP's output to your speakers.

If you get the squelch working, please share. I was never able to get it to work. Made a scan list, and it does not stop when there is activity. Using fmpa...

Just to be sure people are running the right programs:

FMP - the generic backward compatible version for any SDR donglt
FMPA - the Airspy version
FMP24 - the more advanced version, originally a FastLane release

Greetings,
this is what the good people at DSDPlus sent to me and this works

Hello,

You MUST use TCP linking.

You MUST put DSD+ in monitoring mode 1.

Create and use batch files or type these commands at a command prompt.

FMPA -o20000

DSDPlus -i20000 -m1

Or you can use the CC or VC batch files that are provided with DSD+.

Your saying yours works?

I have it going with what's written above. However, when the scan list is going, it does not stop and hold. It keeps scanning. I have mode 1 selected..

Yes, as soon as the transmission end it starts scanning again. Better than nothing i suppose

You can use the wait command in the scanlist.

Also if FMP24 does not hold on a frequency but keeps scanning there is usually an issue with the scanlist.

So if the delay is set for whatever, and the transmission is longer, it would resume scanning, chopping the transmission...

I am using the format shown in the bottom of the quoted post and it seems to work fine with fmp24, except if it hits a control channel. It does not resume scanning. It also wont switch to AM unless AM is in the freq string.

The same format does not work with fmpa. It keeps scanning no matter what, and will not switch to am when there is an aircraft comm even if those 4 are set for AM..

What I am testing with. The first 7 are p25. 8 and 9 are nxdn (no activity yet). And the last 4 are airband.. Both fmp24.scanlist and fmpa.scanlist are exactly the same inside..
Code:
170.75000 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 Sec 1
408.20000 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 sec 2
408.17500 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 UNKNOWN
171.97500 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 BNL
171.81250 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 BNL n141
171.62500 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 Fire Island
172.07500 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 Boston
452.65625 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 E I 1
461.68125 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 E I 2
125.70000 AM BW=12.5 DELAY=2 Airport
135.80000 AM BW=12.5 DELAY=2 air
135.90000 AM BW=12.5 DELAY=2 air
129.15000 AM BW=12.5 DELAY=2 air

I would say that, if FMPA does not work like the other versions, then the problem is probably with the Airspy hardware.
