Use 7zip instead of WinRar.

Sounds like the version of WinRAR you're using is outdated, which means it is likely a security risk.

My 5.5 version of WinRar worked fine.

Also, how many files are in your archive? The latest fastlane version 2p84 only has 5 files in the archive. No BAT files are included. Where did you "download" it from? It should have come in an email.

A new subscriber would likely get all the basic files included in the original download including a couple batch and a couple config files.

Well, what I read in the "NOTES.txt" file was you require a copy of the public DSDplus release, and you just copy/paste the fastlane files into the other DSDplus folder. Thats why there are no .bat files

A new member would need all files (including .bat files) related to FMP24, since there are no FMP24-related files in the public release.

A new member would need the instructions on how to create the batch files, not necessarily the batch files themselves.

From the NOTES.txt file: The DSD+ 2.84 files should be copied to an existing DSD+ 1.101 or higher folder.

As far as FMP24, you are correct, there are no FMP24 related files in the public release, however, there are FMPA, FMP, and a few others

Is it just me getting confused but the OP shows a failed extraction from "DSDPlus2p84.7z"?
Now I know the OP could have renamed the '.zap' to '.7z' but that wouldn't have created files in it that weren't there before (the .bat files)?

The five files contained in the Fastlane update have to be put into an existing working directory...but where have the batch files in the archive come from?

Oh, and I've been using WinRar for years and never had an error generated when unpacking tarballs, rar files, plain old zip files ;-)

That's what I was talking about when I said why are the BAT files in there? The file he is trying to extract is the fastlane version 2p84, which does not include the BAT files. There are only 5 files in the 2.84 fastlane release:

SDSPlus.exe
FMPA.exe
LRRP.exe
Notes.txt
Survey.exe

To the OP, just copy these files into a folder that you have already put the public release 1.101 in.
