Can anyone verify what surrounding towers cover Pendleton Co. that carry the TGs for Pendleton? I'd also want the WVSP which I'm sure are carried on multiple sites in the area. I see there are a few TGs listed in the RRDB and there are a few unconfirmed sites in Pendleton in the RR Wiki. Reason I'm asking is I just ordered a digital scanner for the in-laws who live in Seneca Rocks and wanted to be sure I have the right towers programmed in before I give it to them.

I may just need to ride out there one day to make sure.

Thanks

I can't tell you about any sites within Pendleton County, but I would think the North Harmon site would be a good one to have in there. It's in the next county but close to Seneca Rocks.

The Harmon towers would be the best bet for Seneca Rocks I would say. Petersburg would be another option. The Moorefield tower is another site but Im not sure if it reaches that part of the county. I can only receive the Moorefield tower where I live.

The local state police detachment isn't using SIRN regularly yet as they are still using low band for primary communications to Elkins. Seneca Rocks Fire Department uses SIRN along with the low band radios pretty often.
The local towers are not turned on yet, but last I heard maybe by end of year.

Circleville, Brushy Run and Franklin.

None confirmed active. But who knows, maybe one is. A simple search from 450 mhz to 465 mhz should reveal anything and everything that can be heard from the location you happen to be at.

Code:
9905 Brushy Run (PENDLETON) 453.1000 453.4750 453.5375 460.1250 460.2625 460.4125

9906 Circleville (PENDLETON) 453.5875 453.6625 460.2500 460.3250 460.4625 460.6000

9120 Franklin (PENDELTON) 453.4875 453.6375 460.0875 460.3625 460.3125

Of course, two [or maybe all] of these licenses are just apps [not granted yet]. But if they had to put a site on for some emergency prior to getting licenses, they seem to like to use 454-455 mhz.

So it wouldn't hurt to check all of those.

Thanks everyone. Yes, I saw those in the wiki. I'll probably go out that way next weekend or this weekend. If I find anything I'll submit it.
