WS-1080 S/N Rubbed off and Gone

So I have had my radio for about two weeks now and now the serial # on the back just easily rubbed off.

This is an issue that has been indicated on this forum many times before.

Whistler has indicated that it is not an issue as long as you keep your original invoice should warranty repairs be necessary.

Reminds me of the GRE PSR-800 with the face paint coming off. O well party on.

Yes, as Edmscan said this was covered back in Sep/Oct 2014 when they first came out. I noticed it right away as I went to register it on the website. Called CS back then and they said the same thing, if you need service it's no problem as long as you have the invoices. No
problems so far :0)

If I look at mine at a slight angle in a light I can see the numbers.

That is why when I bought my pro668 new I put clear tape over the serial number. Not that it is going to do me any good now but if your number is still readable put tape over it.
