I'm planning to buy a 1098, which I assume will have the same magnetic mounting system for the head as on the 1095. Anyone using a ProClip mount on theirs? Wondering about your experience and any hints, tips or tricks. FWIW, I'd be using the Toyota 4Runner vent mount: ProClip Vent for 4Runner
Based on this photo ( http://forums.radioreference.com/whistler-scanners/316909-who-has-ws-1095-a-3.html#post2426541 ) of the mount, I'd expect I will have to do at least some drilling on it and/or the ProClip. I used a ProCilp for a Yaesu head in a previous vehicle and was happy with it.
