Have a WS1088 and a TRX1 - no problems with simplex DMR..

Likewise, I have a TRX-1. Decoding Simplex DMR is excellent: as well as DMR transceiver IMHO. I'd say it decodes in excess of 95% of signals. The Uniden on the other hand will 'detect' almost as many signals, but will only decode maybe 10% or so.

Whistler Only

Well, I just finished a test of DMR Simplex reception on my BCD436HP and my WS-1095.

WARNING>>>>>> This video is 17:09 minutes and boring !!!!

The Uniden dosn't pick up its first DMR simplex transmission until 15:23

I should of named this video "Whistler Only" , try to count how many times I said that in the video !!!

On my Uniden UBCD3600XLT (European 436) it has the start up screen with:

"My other Scanner is a Whistler.."

I wonder if the new firmware released by Uniden today helps with DMR simplex reception?

My 996P2 Decodes DMR simplex just fine, and so does my TRX-2.
I keep the 996P2 because it starts fast and the SD card does not fail every 3rd time like the TRX.

The 996P2 is a much better scanner than the X36 series and the TRX series but it has no remote head so car installs are tough
