Anyone willing to get rid of the remote head plate for the 1095-1098-TRX-2 ?

Please let me know, I'm in need of one, and whistler does not offer these as a accessory.

Any piece of ferrous metal should work, I don't think the dimples are really necessary unless you're going to install it in a Baja racer. My 1098 sits atop the fridge and I had the head stuck to the freezer door for awhile. I could easily use it as an alternate door handle. Those little magnets are strong.

Dimples are a big part of the head staying in place. I have a icom 2730 and that radio came with a similar system that I use in the car with no issues

Another vote for that tape. It's really good stuff.

For the "washers" for my TRX remote head (which is pretty light), I used simple double-sided white tape for a long time and it worked just fine.

Later, I found I needed some stronger stuff for a cell phone holder I use to hold either a handheld scanner or, more recently, my G4.

This 3M tape is great for that and since it comes in a large roll I'll never use up completely, I've started using it for other things including the remote head.
