1st time programmer

I have a TRX-1 in the mail if the snow on the east coast ever goes away. I am trying to build my config ahead of time.being an old guy with shaky memory, I need heavy reinforcement: Here's what I plan to do, tell me if its right or I am doing something wrong.

1 set up scanlist names
....LexCntyPD
....LexCntyFire
several others for another county and another for State and another for Railroad
2. go to library import, import type preffered, select state select trunked,
.... select the trunked system I want, ie P25
... select sites
... select talkgroups
... import channels
3. Repeat above for each scanlist
4. set up scansets of stuff I want to listen to, ie 1 got all, 1 for each county
save and be done

any recommendations/shanges?

Just remember that when you use ScanSets instead of ScanList to select what you want to listen to, do the following -

1. Enable all ScanLists with data.
2. Disable ScanSet that selects all ScanLists (Usually 1)
3. Enable ScanSets you want to listen to.

Pretty much what i plan...set1 will have everything every other set will be specific ie.county fire, pd etc
