A few of us experimented with a friends trx1 and trx2 nxdn rxing vs commercial nxdn radio.
Everything had to be tweaked just right for it to work right. Missing about 1 out of 10 tx when compared to the commercial radio.
Squelch setting being the most significant for success. And parked on a freq with squelch wide open offered even better results, set manually for nxdn and digital mode.
The other settings that needed tweaking per nxdn system or nxdn type:
Delay time
Dwell time
Nxdn choice selected
Digital mode selected
Squelch mode set to none
Sometimes setting the ran code or not setting the ran code, either helped or made things worst.
Some troubles seem to arise when scanning multiple types of nxdn and you only have the overall single squelch to adjust. Cuz most of the nxdn systems needed a different squelch setting unique to it in order to work well. Example: one needs squelch 8, another needs squelch 10, etc
