TRX-1: Changing Squelch knob

A friend of mine told me that it was possible to change the top 'squelch knob' into the volume knob and make squelch be the up and down arrows on the front of the screen. I have done a fair amount of searching, and cannot find this either in the Software or in the 'global settings'. Can anyone confirm or deny?



If it is confirmed, could someone please tell me how to do it? That would be great if it is possible!

It's probably the same as in TRX-2. In EZScan -Advanced Features- Receive you have control knob options.

I remember reading that that particular option is only available on the TRX-2, not the TRX-1.

That's correct.
On the TRX-1 it's an actual potentiometer that's wired directly to the squelch circuit.
