Howdy, It's the 'guy with a new scanner' again. :)

A couple of our fire dispatch centers have gone to 'robo-dispatch' for medical aid and other lower priority calls. They've got one radio ID that does that, while the live dispatchers will dispatch fire calls using different radio IDs. I have added the robo-radios to "Radio ID Details" in their trunked systems and locked them out, however I still get the robo-dispatch, but without the ID showing on the display now.

Is there a way to lock out a specific ID(s) for radios you don't want to hear?

Thanks!

Does the "robo dispatch" use the same Talkgroup as the voice dispatch?

There's no option in any current scanner that I'm aware of to ignore transmissions on a talkgroup when a specific radio ID is present. You can lock them out from private calls, but not group calls.

Lockout Radio ID

I use EZ-Scan software, under Trunked Radio Systems select tab; Radio ID Details and enter the specific Radio ID. Then check LO box. This seems to work on the P25 phase II Harris system I'm monitoring.
