Hi to all,

Was just at a practice burn for a department within Milwaukee County. They had their fire ground comms on MABAS White, so I punch in 856.2625 on my scanner...and heard nothing. DUMB QUESTION ALERT: are the MABAS channels through the MCTRS? I was under the impression that the three MABAS channels we're stand alone simplex channels to be used for fire ground comms.

Any thoughts?

Greetings..

Just checking, but you punched in 856.2625? Isn't that Waukesha County Simplex 2?. Mabas White 800MHz is 851.950 and Mabas White VHF is 154.2800.

Most of the suburban departments still have VHF Mobiles in the front line apparatus for Mutual Aid responses.

Analog VHF Conventional is far from dead.

Does anyone either have, or know where to find, the (3) 800MHz MABAS simplex channels (used in Milwaukee County)? For some reason I just can't find them.
