for counties like polk, st croix and pierce, how far are they into the new radio system? are they still simulcast with vhf or have they fully migrated to the new 800?

All these counties are on VHF conventional systems as shown in the database.

Pierce is P25 on their main LE channel. Polk is mixed analog/digital on their main channel. St. Croix is going digital sometime this year.

where they make the cheese
the good news is here in Chippewa county there are no plans to move onto WisCom
looking like they will be setting up a analog simulcast system with quite a number of receive sites

Hello to all,
I am really new at this game and was finally able to load freq into my radios using free scan, I do have some questions though?j
What do I have to do to listen to the state police and DNR also when receiving a transmission from Polk Sheriff every now and then I get a really loud one and it is extremely clear?
The many cities in Polk do they have their own channels specific to say Osceola or St Croix Falls or do they dispatch thru the sheriff .
I hope I made sense and thank you
Jim
