I have a HP 2 Scanner i cant find my manual I want to put in 155-820 in it it does not come up when u put in zip It is local gov I have no clue how to do it im not a tech guy Thanks

Suggest you read up on this Easier to Read Instruction Manual for the HP1/HP2.

Quick Frequency Entry

Menu > Advanced Menu > Quick Frequency Entry Type in the Frequency you want to monitor then tap Accept. Select the Step Size and Modulation by tapping the corresponding buttons and tap Atten to toggle the attenuator On (red) or Off (white). Use or to step through the frequencies.

Coincidence or not, I was staring at a bottle of Patron at the store earlier this weekend that didn’t make it home…I think this is a sign that it needs to make it home now.

Based on the OP's previous posts, he's in Martin County, MN. Frequency 155.820 is licensed to Fairmont in that county.

Frequency 155.8200 is listed on the county's database page. It is tagged with a service type of "Public Works". Be sure that you do have that service type enabled.


The 'Easier to Read Manual' link that hexagon posted includes the information for both the HP-2 scanner itself, as well as for Sentinel. Remember that, unless you have the Extreme Upgrade, you cannot directly enter a frequency or edit a Favorites list.

The issue with frequency 155.820 has been brought up before. Unless you enable the correct service type (Public Works), you will not be able to monitor that specific frequency, unless you program it via Sentinel & assign a service type that is enabled. Since it appears that most of the cities & agencies in Martin County are on the statewide ARMER system, are you sure that 155.8200 is still in active use?

It is enabled but I get the County Hiway Dept not the City I would like to get the city also Thanks

You may want to ask in your states forum where the county and city are actually operating.

And that's what it is licensed for, MARTIN COUNTY public works. Does the city have a public works dept? It's a relatively small city and may contract with the county for things like road plowing, traffic light maintenance, etc.

If it does, do they use a radio system to dispatch the dept? Many small cities just use cell phones.
