HP-2: I\Deleteing

Unless you have the Extreme Upgrade, you'll have to make the deletion, and/or any other changes, in Sentinel, then write the updated Favorites list to your HP-2.
If you Do have the Extreme Upgrade:
Press Menu
Then Advanced Menu
Then Advanced Option
At the next screen, you can select Edit Favorites list, then pick the List, then System that needs the deletion.
Or
If you have the Extreme Upgrade, hold on the channel you want to delete.
Then tap the < on the right edge of the screen on the same line of the channel.
From the pop-up menu, press the Advanced option.
That gets you to a screen where you can edit the channel. One of the choices you have is to delete it.
Heres the deal my grandson found my scanner and messed it up so bad that I have no glue what he did it scans but I dont hear any thing ( i did
check the volume) I put inthe zip code still nothing The place I got is not around anymore im not a techie guy any ideas

If he 'just found' the HP-2, it's database may be well out of date.
On the scanner:
Press the Menu button (if it's currently scanning, that button will be in the lower left corner of the display).
On the Menu screen, press the Advanced Menu key.
On the Advanced Menu screen, press the Version Information key (you may need to first press the 'down arrow' at the bottom of the menu to get to the next page).
The Version Information screen will show you the current database version on the scanner. I suspect it will be well out of date. If so, and if you have the cable to connect the scanner to a PC, then you need to update it via the correct version of Sentinel.
First, though, check to see which Service Types are enabled. The four Public Safety categories are Law, Fire, EMS, & Multi. For each of those, there are three subcategories- Dispatch, Talk, and Tac. Make sure all are enabled. (Law Dispatch, Law Talk, Law Tac, Fire Dispatch, Fire Talk, .....etc)

Update the database in Sentinel. Then, connect the data cable to the scanner and the PC. At the prompt on the scanner's screen, select Mass Storage Mode. Once the scanner is connected in Mass Storage mode, write information to the scanner.
With the updated database, see if you can now get any reception using your location & range.

If that is the database date in the scanner, then make sure that the correct service types are enabled, that the scanner saved your correct location, and that you have the desired range set.
What is your location? City (or county) & state?
Well it was on all night never made a sound and it should have the changes I made didt help maybe the service types are messed up well I got tp go move the 15in of snow we got the other day so if you have any ideas I check back at the today

Thats what I had before plus155-82000 Fairmont public works do I need all of theses law dispatch ,tac,talk ems dispatch tac, talk fire dispatch tac,talk multi dispatch tac and talk I still cant find how I got the 155-82000 and i want it if i can I think I figured it out was a setting i think sometimes its mostly mayo and cops

Can’t you just push the profile and favorite lists from Sentinel to the scanner and wipe away anything someone charged on the scanner ?
