Just in case you don't know, a few ways to change the Vol, Squelch, & Scroll/Function knobs

Mouse click the knob to get the focus then

Use Up//Down/Right/Left arrow keys
-or-
Mouse Scroll
-or-
Drag Mouse around inside knob

Default Playing back sequences of audio clips

I am running ProScan 12.7 under Windows 7 Pro on a 4 Gb Core i5 PC, connected to a single BCT15X scanner. Audio is recording, I am streaming it out with no problems; ProScan makes it all simple to do.

The question I have is most likely just due to my particular choice of client software. I am using an iPhone, iPad and various MacBooks to access the web server stream and saved audio files. When I want to play back recorded audio I seem to have two choices:

1) Record "Each Transmission New Row".
Question A: the Web access puts the oldest clip at the top. How can I swap the sort order so the most recent is at the top?
Question B: If I want to play a group of recorded clips in sequence how can I multi-select them for playback? Obviously there can be dozens of clips coming from multiple channels (Police, FD, Rescue) that are best listened to from oldest to newest in a block.

2) Turn off "Each Transmission New Row", set "Max. Recording Time" to a reasonable length.
Question C: Now I can listen to one transmission clip after another from one selected channel at a time, but I then can not tell the actual time of each transmission, and can not interleave the multiple channels involved.

I spent quite a few hours reading through the ProScan forum notes looking for the best way to do this. I did find a similar request six years ago, but not a best practices for iPhone solution.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The Web Server should sort the files in the same order as the Win File Explorer sort order I believe. Maybe the sort order of the Recording grid. I worked with a user several years ago to get it right. If doesn't seem right then submit a request. When request done via email, I can send you out test files to insure the request is done right.

First sort the Recording grid by End Date/Time. Clicking the column toggles ascending & descending order. Next hold down the CTRL key and mouse click all the rows to play back.

The current file playback will show the filename above the grid. You could make the filename show the date & time with the format specifier %DT (Date /Time)

What request? What's not the best practice for iPhone?

I have no problem playing multiple selected sequential clips on the Proscan client, but when accessing the recordings from my Chrome browser on a Mac. I did try pre-sorting various windows at both the OS level on the serving PC and within the Proscan software. Even with reloading and changing clients I still could not get the sort order to change. I will keep experimenting with that.

Are there any iPhone users out there who can give me some hints on the simplest way to select and listen to a series of say 10 clips in a row and be able to identify the specific time each clip was recorded playing back on my iPhone connected to the Proscan Web Server over LTE?

I found a similar question concerning playing multiple clips and identifying clip times in this forum (message 909, 918) but have not found the solution.

Thanks!

Looked at the sort order today, It's fixed so not dependent on the folder or explorer sort order. I'll leave it like that for now.

Default Instruction Guide: BCD536HP Wi-fi Stream and Remote Access Via Proscan Web Server

All:

I put together a step-by-step instruction guide for those members who want to wirelessly stream audio & data from a Uniden BCD536HP and remote control the scanner using the Web Server feature in ProScan. The guide was passed by the author of ProScan (Bob Aune) for content & accuracy. It can be viewed, printed and/or downloaded at the link below. Hope this is helpful:

What exactly do you get for the $50. Upgrade? I know there are two upgrades available and im not 100% sure which does what.

Is there an easy way to import a .csv file with frequencies into proscan?
I didn't see anything like that in the import menu.

Yes, It's called the "Get Clipboard" function. Once you created the system and group(or site for trunking frequencies), Click on the group where you want the frequencies to appear then clip the "Get Clipboard" menu item

I saw on here where you can change the metadata delay when logged into a web browser. Is there a way to change the delay for any app listening to the web server?

Not in ProScan. Perhaps the media player has a setting to change the latency. I would google that.
