I am running SDR# on a Celeron laptop with 3GB of memory (believe it or not). It doesn't run too bad, just with some occasional stalls.

But for other reasons, I am looking to upgrade to an i3 or i5 laptop.

Can anyone comment on how SDR# runs on a mobile i3 or i5? And how much memory in your machine?

Thanks.

I run it on my intel I3 laptop with 4mb ram and no problems at all. My tower has an i3 and 8 mb of ram and I run trunking which is 2 sdr#'s running, unitrunker and DSD+ and I watch videoes and do other tasks at same time. Never even had a small issue.

I'm using a Lenovo T420 with the i5-2520M, 8gb RAM and a Samsung 830pro SSD. It runs without any flaws, using SDR# and VMware, SDR-Radio and DSD or other decoders at the same time makes the CPU work, but it's far away from overloading. Don't forget, that it's the Intel Sandy Bridge hardware, it's 3 years old!
