Ran the HP-1 update last evening... still reads 9/14/2014.

Where are you seeing that date, in Sentinel, or in the scanner?
My HP1 database is 11/09/2014.

Master Database Update
question say radio reference updates is sight does uniden get the update also and if we go master update we call load that into are scanner 436hp i see update all the time on this sight how do i update my scanner?

We pull the entire database starting late Sunday evening and finishing early Monday morning. That database is formatted for the HP, then published around 9 AM Monday morning and includes all updates through some time Sunday evening.

From page 17 in the owner's manual:
UPDATING THE DATABASE
1. To update the scanner’s database, connect it to your PC using the supplied USB cable. Select Mass Storage.
2. Next, in Sentinel, select UPDATE/Update Master HPDB.
3. Write the new database to your scanner by selecting Scanner/Write to Scanner.
4. Unplug the USB cable and the scanner will reboot.

Sometimes you do the right thing and it does not update.
Click the cogwheel in sentinel and tick the box that says Force write full database .
My friend had this issue and he often still does and thisi is how we fix it.

Mine updates without any issues.... Oh, and hey UPMan, if you need Beta Testers for the Siren app I'm more than willing to help! I have an iPhone-5S and a BCD536HP! Feel free to gimme a shout!
