As soon as they send a solid object over the height of the nearby hill, the signal bounces off of it. Then they make NO analysis of the signal itself they just captured.
I keep telling the wife... "daaa. why don't they just...".
(The cubes inside a elongated sphere reported by pilots spotted with advanced night vision equipment are interesting.)
