Does anyone know what Military agency in San Antonio is using 138.875?

I can hear the base station only, however I've heard numerous reports regarding "Medic Counts", "MCC", "Exercise Traffic", "Callsign Eagle" and even a report of an In Flight Emergency.

Most if not all operations in the San Antonio area for the military facilities are on the trunked system, so I'm not sure who this might be.

Any ideas?

I think from a long time ago when I use to live near Live Oak that that use to be the security police of Randolph freq. but this was back in the 90's it was this freq. or 138.900. But before Randolph went trunked most of there flight ops and security police ops were in this freq range.

it is probably the training at Camp Bullis. These are the things that they said they were doing and that the build up of homes and businesses was causing a problem, especially from excessive light at night that interferes with their use of night vision. The said the activities at Bullis were essential for the expansion at Ft Sam.

I think it might be training operations at Bullis since all the comms are simplex (and I live right next to Camp Bullis).

Although, I wasn't leaning towards that because Bullis has it's own trunked system and they conduct training ops on that all the time.

So, it *might* be some FEMA Training operations at Bullis. Dunno.

Yes, FM Mode on the frequency.
