Right now I'm in North-Central Lafayette County and I can hear some traffic on 151.370 mHz, but I have no clue what I'm listening to. I hear units checking the frequency in the mornings and random talk during the day from "Tallahatchie 6" and "Yalobusha 7" but I still can't figure out who it is that I'm listening to. Any ideas? I figured some of you from the area could tell me who this might be.

151.3700 mHz is a Forestry Service frequency. Probably being used by state forestry commission.

Exactly right, your hearing MS Dept. of Forestry units, most likely the Firefighting First Responders. Each county usually has up to 5 units active at any given time as FFR units. Each county will also have one or two command units active, as well as one to six forestry plantation workers.
