We are having great condition's for scanning ...I guess the other night the skip must have been rolling very well because the local pd freq is the same as the so . The freq was being used alot by another agency i'm only assuming jasper co in mo . I've heard this dept before but many yr's ago but hearing it on a hand-held is very odd . I must be picking up the signal from Osage Co's North Repeater

Quite often during temprature inversions and ducting (not skip) yiu can have other licensees on the input frequency with the same PL key the repeater.

BTW when Osage County went to dual VHF repeaters they had single-tone access not PL.

Like rfradio was saying it depends on what the input and PL or DCS tone is being heard during these conditions. Also KOK5CY you might give the Osage SO repeater system another look. They just recently made some changes and upgrades to different towers and sites across the county and some of the inputs are the new narrow band frequencies. I am seeing sites in Sand Springs, Pawhuska, Ponca City and Hominy. They are all showing different inputs and outputs. This might be why you are hearing more conditions then usual? Can you put these in your scanner and tell us what you are hearing including PL or DCS tones? Here is a link... Thanks

Yesterday afternoon the repeater on the west side was down ...All they had was north and south ...Now far as i could tell the south repeater has a tone after the radio mic button is released ...

BTW when the repeaters are down they use 154.650 ....

They must have just put that repeater in on hominy because i've checked that license every now and then ...
