This is a continuation of posts that I made under the Marine Section. I thought I was getting a little off topic so I decided to put it here...Lately I have been hearing ALOT of comms on 156.225 with PL's of 225.7 and 229.1 in Chesterfield County. Upon further investigation I found out that this frequency and 154.755 are both transmitted from an antenna located at the Defense Supply Center. What does Chesterfield County use these frequencies for???

Ahhh, New Kent County. That might be it. I never thought of that. I'll have to take one scanner and tune it to 156.2175 and another and tune it to 156.225 and see if what I hear are the same things.

Years ago the two repeater frequencies were used for TAC/Surveillance ops. They are no longer used and the licenses should be cancelled to save a few taxpayer dollars in FCC renewal fees.

Okay thanks for the clarification everyone! I guess what I'm hearing then is New Kent County Sheriff. Since the two freqs. are so close together, its coming across on 156.225. I guess that makes sense!
