163.05 in Tampa

The Coast Guard in tampa/St. Pete Sectors are using 163.05 for their Comms. It is P25, but can anyone , who monitors, tell me if it is in the clear, or do they encript. I have an older scanner.

If you're in Pinellas, and like to listen to public safety, digital won't be such a waste before too long. Just food for thought.

thanks, i live in Pinellas. I hear ( noise) a few digital TGs, but they are still analog for now. Hopefully for a while..
