I've been monitoring this freq on and off since the late morning (167.740) Units ids are Detroit 2, 3, 4, 12. Does anyone know who they are? Same comm's on 170.625. The were working the 7 Mile and Telegraph area.

167.7375 MHz (not 167.7400 MHz) should be the FBI. What PL tone are you getting?

I'm guessing 170.6250 MHz is the FBI, too. Same PL as 167.7375 MHz?

Yup, that's the FBI. They use 167.9 Hz quite often.

I have been picking up DES encrypted comms on 167.730mhz in central oakland county. 99% of the traffic is encrypted so I have no idea who the user is. I saw your note on the FBI using a certain PL tone, I will have to see if that's the PL.

I noticed this frequency was not on the other FBI or even federal lists. Does anyone have a list of FBI frequencies in this area, or even the state? I thought about adding this to my scanner in the Lansing area but figured it would not give me much to listen to especially being P25. It would just delay my common listening habits further. Any comments are more than welcome. Thanks.
