Anyone know what happen to the 1C at PIA airport at around 12:30? Toronto and Peel EMS on the way and PRP for smoke and fire in the engine .

I don't know if the plane was on the ground or in the air when this happen but EMS from Toronto and Peel on the way for a standby and PRP on the way.

I did not have the Airport or MFD talkgroups programed because I was monitoring some calls in the Bramalea area. The IC call seems to be stood down the EMS was 10-26 and PRP was saying nothing else on the radio so it must of bean stood down .

Anyone know what happen.

If it didn't make the news, then it wasn't important. A 1C refers to Aircraft in trouble, in flight, not on the ground as you mentioned. Other distress codes are listed in the Peel system.

On another note, a couple of weeks ago, I heard a Toronto EMS dispatched to YYZ for a "Provincial Code 4". Anyone know what that means ???

^^ What the OP said. Toronto EMS don't use the "Code X" system for calls, they use Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta and Echo. If they were dispatched into a "Provincial Code 4", it means it was an out of City call.

The EMS was 10-26 and there really was not alot of PRP chit chat.

I did not have the talkgroups for fire in and was monitoring some calls in the Bramalea area.

And all I can hear was a problem with the engine it must bean small problem and just some light smoke.

I must say over the years the PIA airport does good job and I have pick up flaps and engine problem and PIA airport does good job to deal with problem with out turning it into big problem.

I should have put the Airport talkgroups in and MFD.

I guess you have learned your lesson - NEVER EVER leave out the airport TGs again!

If you only monitor Brampton and York, then how did you know about the 1C at the airport?

On EMS Peel North Desk and PRP .

This is how it is set up

-Brampton fire
-All the fire in York
-21 and 22 Div
-Airport div
-CIB and D units in 21 and 22Div.
-EMS Peel North Desk

-YRPD

The red some times

For the past some days , I also want to find some new talkgroups that have bean set up in Peel, because I'm not getting the street crime units, bike units and traffic units .I don't know what talkgroup they hang out on the street crime unis , bike units and taffic units .

They have to have new talkgroups or they must be using the MDU and cell phones. On top of that my mistake only, I seem to have deleted some talkgroups for PRP anf Brampton fire and not getting all the calls.

How much I monitor above is base on how much radio traffic and calls they have .If there is lots of calls or radio traffic , I will only monitor one divion because it is too much for me .

And 8 calls hour is little too much for me.But I have to find those new talkgroups.I'm making a talkgroup list and checking that with the radioreference data base.

Err...ok...if you believe there's a bunch of new talkgroups on the Peel system, put $15 where your mouth is, get a trunker/T88 setup going and prove it to us. You'll have the satisfaction of helping others in the hobby as well, when you find these new talkgroups.

Seriously, if you're that concerned about missing talkgroups, put your scanner on SEARCH at least.

The good lord helps those who help themselves...

Street Crime hangs out on the Surveillance channels.

Bike units are on the regular Divisional talkgroups.

Traffic units generally hang out on Support Services.

If you don't believe me, then put your scanner in search mode and see what you find.

Please check the database before you post your unknowns though. Several times you've posted stuff that already exists.

Recently heard a call for a Delta stroke. Are all strokes Delta ? Is there a pre-determined list of things that are considered Delta ? Same goes for Alpha, Bravo.... What falls in their categories ?

The official MPDS (up to ver 11.3, what we use in my city) doesn't have a Delta determinant for strokes (card 28).. perhaps TEMS has modified the cards.

Stroke is one of the very few cards where "not alert" is a Charlie driver.

This list appears to be up to date as far as about ver 11.1/11.2.
