2005 Pontiac Grand AM Antenna Install

Since I had been using the AM/FM antenna for the scanner, the AM/FM radio didn't work, only the Sirius radio part. I tore into the factory mount and mounted my own antenna, a Larsen Tri-band 150/450/800. I used the factory hole and ran my own coax. In the dash, I have "T", one lead to the AM/FM radio and the other to the scanner.

The hole wasn't 3/4" like a standard NMO mount. It was probably a 7/8" or maybe even a 1" hole.

I noticed all the Crown Vic taxi cabs in Las Vegas are installed this way.
