I got a new car last weekend and immediately set to work at customizing it for me.

I took out the double-din radio and replaced it with a dual ISO bracket and mounted my car stereo from my previous car (1997 ford Escort) and astro spectra control head.

I also installed my CDM1250 remotely below the climate controls. The good news is that I can still put cans of soda or whatever in those cup holders (haven't tried a 20oz yet).

Speaker are mounted in the rear window with velcro. Also shown are some pictures of the NMO installation process and the feeding of the wiring via wire-loom into the trunk.

I still have to add the sub and the PAC-RT to the system, and also connect a couple more antennas. I'll post pix of the antennas and speaker stuff, as well as the completed mounting of the radio tray to the trunk wall later on as an edited add-on.

Well done Josh!

Way to go getting maximum RF into a compact car- and a very nice one at that!
Love that dash mount Spectra.

Would do the same- but the air conditioner hoses prevent any decent radio from fitting into the DIN space.

The CDM finishes it off nicely too.

Looks great!

Does the '07 Focus have side airbags? I was thinking about drilling a hole in the roof for the NMO mount, and people say to fish it down the pillars, although mine has side curtain airbags so I dont know how that would work out..

It does have side air-bags, but they are in the seat, so putting stuff down the side column isn't a big deal.

Looks good. To bad my 07 Focus is the Fiancés car. I love the setup that you have I may just have to put my speakers on the back deck for my radios in the Buick.

Now that I think about it it's the same with my car, it's only the sensors I believe that are on the side pillars.
