What frequency does RE use for the OTA? I'd like to capture the signal using an SDR and see if I can decode it. Why pay for it if they are broadcasting it for free for their own radios.
That's interesting. That falls under MURS and it would be channel 5. I assumed they'd be transmitting closer to the rated range for the RE3000. You don't need a license to transmit in this band but a lot have been issued. I didn't find any licenses for RE in this range but they do have licenses in the LMR range of 450 to 470 at each track. They were using 154.600 a few years ago, for the OTA.

The scanners models they used for ota were the re3000 and Legend. Neither of them used Vhf. The legend which still supports OTA, programming was also a 4g cellphone. It also received fanvision audio video and data content (which used vacant TV channel space)
Rebroadcast to or from another frequency?Right by the Racing Electronics trailer I got a close call hit and it was a continuous data stream. It was a few years ago. Perhaps it was something else. I thought it was odd on VHF.
Did u manually just type what was in the re3000 into a file? Two thumbs 👍 👍 upAttached is a RED scanner dump from Richmond this past weekend

Yes, but I cheated a little. I set up templates with last year's data for the 3 major series over the winter, taking my time. Then it's really not too bad to update the template after a new update to the scanner. It took about an hour or so to do the Whelen series from scratch yesterday.Did u manually just type what was in the re3000 into a file? Two thumbs 👍 👍 up
I wish the software for (re3000) this was available lmao or someone to come up with open source-Yes, but I cheated a little. I tried, I'm pretty good with spreadsheet software, I couldn't find a driver to connect the scanner thru usb.I wish the software for (re3000) this was available lmao or someone to come up with open source-making s spread sheet takes me for ever as my typing speeds suck
I'm going to New Hampshire in June and have been looking for the Whelen frequencies. I've been unable to download your file. Could you email it to me (rph12string@comcast.net)?Attached is a RED scanner dump from Richmond this past weekend
