They were using 154.600 a few years ago, for the OTA.
What frequency does RE use for the OTA? I'd like to capture the signal using an SDR and see if I can decode it. Why pay for it if they are broadcasting it for free for their own radios.

That's interesting. That falls under MURS and it would be channel 5. I assumed they'd be transmitting closer to the rated range for the RE3000. You don't need a license to transmit in this band but a lot have been issued. I didn't find any licenses for RE in this range but they do have licenses in the LMR range of 450 to 470 at each track.

I have updated the Nascar Cup Series WIKI page.
I will try and update the others (Truck and Xfinity) when I get a chance.
Unless someone else wants to try it!!
Thanks,
Dave

The scanners models they used for ota were the re3000 and Legend. Neither of them used Vhf. The legend which still supports OTA, programming was also a 4g cellphone. It also received fanvision audio video and data content (which used vacant TV channel space)

The fanvision, legend was such a fun item at speedway. Though having a video screen with car data stats cams etc did distract myself from watching the cars on track with my 👀. I was gifted a pass to use a older fanvision and had no way put a deposit on it as I had no credit card. Friend of mine got it for me and said not open it up or break it lol. I did manage to find it's frequency in a menu. It was uhf tv space. What made fan vision/legend great is that it was independent of wifi/or cell phone data to function.

I honestly think the officials channel numbers/names are dif now and changed. 1)is still 461.200 and 2 is 464.600

Nascar 1 and Nascar 2 is what I believe the alpha numerics on display say.

All the rest of the channels are digital

The channel list on a team radio was able to look at appeared to be set up with primary and alt of all teams drivers plus a few team specific "digital" or .private

Right by the Racing Electronics trailer I got a close call hit and it was a continuous data stream. It was a few years ago. Perhaps it was something else. I thought it was odd on VHF.

Rebroadcast to or from another frequency?

I was told OTA was a repeater. Which made me use search and I only found the Ota on one frequency. That told me it was a base radio or handheld simplex.

Not sure what all the new channels added to the wiki are. 461.200 and 464.600 are the only monitor able freqs used by Nascar officials at every event. Those others appear to be Daytona Track specific

Yes, but I cheated a little. I set up templates with last year's data for the 3 major series over the winter, taking my time. Then it's really not too bad to update the template after a new update to the scanner. It took about an hour or so to do the Whelen series from scratch yesterday.

I'm going to New Hampshire in June and have been looking for the Whelen frequencies. I've been unable to download your file. Could you email it to me (rph12string@comcast.net)?

I agree with the Statement above from dweave01, the File is not available to Download. Can it be Uploaded again? I'm looking to get a Head Start on the Xfinity Series T/C's when they come to Portland. Thx.
