Hi scanner newbie here. I understand there are two types of trunking systems, digital and conventional trunking. I think my 246T can scan conventional trunking. How do I tell if a system is conventional or digital?

Also, when I try to upload trunking freq data from RR, for example, in Connecticut New London County, I tried to program Pfizer's EDACS frequencies. I can see the frequencies listed on the RR website, but when I load it into my 246T, no frequencies appear, just a system titled Pfizer. Is this because EDACS is digital?

Thanks!

Yup, thats the one, New London County, Pfizer:

I'm just using that as an example. When I upload the .mem file into ARC 246T, and I click the "Trunk Frequencies" tab, there are no frequencies listed. This happens with any of the trunked systems I try to upload. I'm just wondering if it is becuase they are digitial trunks so my 246T will not take them.

Thanks

Oops..I misread. For some reason, I thought you didn't want the Phizer system.

Anyway, yea, it should be a monitorable system. Since it's a fairly small system, you might have better luck simply manually entering the frequencies. Make sure you maintain the listed sequence!
