South of Santa Barbara CA.
I monitor in the evenings, see if my radio shack dx390 can go that low.

Took a listen to 226kc.
No surprise, I hear nothing. But wanted to try.
So is your telescopic ant works for LW?
I have a DX390. Same radio. I thought the onboard loop for MW was used.

Did you try 266 you listed 226, at under 50 watts that would be a long shot literally lol but possible if the progation is right. I live close to the transmitter. I would have to see the schematic to see how LW is wired in. More likey the telescope. The DX390 pretty darn good radio. I have had most of the versions of that radio
in the early 90s when they first came out.

Caught me, 266kc.
Typo. Yes I have been happy with my 390.
Got it new a few years back. The 909 is I think the same radio just Rat Shack put their name on the case.
Works great for MW band.

Hamilton ON has 3 beacons!
Try also 221 HM and 397 ZHA...
log 'em while you can, AFAIK they are on the chopping block for decommissioning later this year.

221 I have a full scale Humm.
Light ballast or AC hum.
On 397 I have a weak signal just can't make it out.
