379.500 MHz (Encrypted)

Just listening to my military frequencies down in Fort Erie Ont and I have
279.500 MHz as COBRA OPS on 379.4 is the Command Post of the 174FW at Syracuse NY. They fly the F-16C.
I'm now picking up encrypted audio on it a couple of times in the last few minutes, I don't think I would be picking up Command Post encrypted audio from down here or maybe it's the clear weather we have . ???

Hi Steve,
The 174TH Attack Wing flies the MQ-9 REAPER now. I don't remember how long ago it was that they got rid of their F-16's. That's interesting that your hearing encryption on those freqs.

Thanks Chuck for the information, I will update my list, I'll keep an eye on the frequency and see if I can get any more information. I'm just wondering if it was anything to do with the Niagara Falls NY military Base, I'm only 20 miles from it.
