Ok, up until now I had my digital threshold for a 3600 baud 800MHz system set at "Auto 8."
Worked well, but with some watery sound and every now and then a burst of "motorboating." No big deal, 90+% of what I heard OK.
But I played around with the settings for this system, and changed the "Adjust P25 Level" from auto to manual. So when I adjust the threshold level (hold Funtion, press down volume button twice) it now reads "manual 8" instead of "Auto 8." I don' know if it's just what my ears want to hear, but it sounds like in the "manual" levels the digital actually sounds better. Whats the difference in digital performance between an "auto" and "manual" P25 level? Anybody else notice this?
