396 Locking up

Has anyone had there 396 lock up while scanning?
Any suggestions?

If I turn it off unplug it, plug it back in turn it on seems to be fine, this started the last couple of day's.

What do you mean by "locking up"? Is the scanner locking up to where it wont do anything when you push a button or is it locking up on a channel?

You may need to do a software reset. If you have the software download and save it. Look through the data for any odd characters. If you find any change them. Then press the
HOLD,2 and 9 keys down while turning the power on on the scanner.
Then upload your data to the scanner again using the software.

Locking up

The scanner stops scanning like it freezes up, no matter what button I push no response so I have to unplug it plug it back in and turn it back on then all is fine again. This has happened 2 times now over the last 2 weeks.

I have not had it hooked up to a computer sine the 11.03 update was released.
