Twice Count? Not sure what you mean. It still turns off at the same amount of time that the press of the scroll control does.

It works for me with my 396.

Work on mine too. What mode does this put the radio in? It changes the lower display from the systems and groups to a bunch of other numbers.
I just tried it on my 330 and it does not work oh well

It's the P25 threshold adjustment mode.

I knew about hit FUNC the scroll twice. The only problem with that is that if I change the volume at all it will go back to normal and then I have to press FUNC and scroll twice again. And also while it's in that p25 threshold adj. , you're unable to turn the scroll button to i.e skip the freq. it is currently picking up. To do so, you have to take it out of the threshold adj.
