hello i have the 996 really nice scanner, thinking?????? about getting the 396 dont want to spend the bucs but would really like to have a hand held can anyone tell me if you can scan analog and digital at the same time as the 996. i know this is a dumb question but i dont know so i will ask is analog the same as conventional thanks for any help

I also have a 396 and I scan an EDACS, P25, and convential 800 trunking, as well as a 154 simplex channel. All works well, but I have each loaded into a seperate bank.

"Conventional" typically refers to non-trunked channels.
Conventional channels can be analog or digital.
