My son just informed me that he will be getting a Uniden 396XT in the mail soon,any one used one in the Charleston area? I'm not gonna have trouble programming it,as I'll probably have a much easier time listening to the WVIRP compared to the old uniden I had last year. I'll probably listen on it more than he will lol.

I have 396t which I think programs that same way. I think they are pretty simple to program.

it is closer to a 996T than a 396T being that you can have multiple sites per system. Just use FreeScan and you'll be fine.
