407.2875?

With the recent band openings, I was picking up what sounded like possibly a weather broacast (in French) on 407.2875

I don't know if it WAS a weather broadcast, or not as I don't speak French. However, since it was a constant dialog, I'm assuming it was.

Can anyone shed any light on that?

Could be Environment Canada , as they alternate between French & English in their broadcasts.

Seeing as you are in Ohio , my guess is it is one of these two locations:

WINDSOR ONT (150 PARK ST W) ENVIRONMENT CANADA AIR MONITORING DIVISION AEB (407.2875)

EDYS MILLS ONT. (CKCO-TV TOWER) ENVIRONMENT CANADA AIR MONITORING DIVISION AEB (407.2875)

are you hearing them mention the word "meteologique" ?

That sounds about right.

I also pick up Environment Canada on 161.650, 161.775. I also picked up something similar on 161.750 as well.
