OK... so I have this frequency (468.1875 DPL 244) listed as a patch off Tarrytown, NY's 156.2250 (dispatch channel). I live in northeast Bergen County, NJ and heard it from here last night - amidst many other places I don't normally receive when it's not as hot and humid as an elephant's *** (Chester Co., PA...... Kent Co., DE.....)

That being said, since I've had the frequency in any of my radios, I have yet to hear anything Tarrytown related on it. Last night, while a bit scratchy, there was clearly an "automated dispatch" (robot voice, if you will) over this frequency for an MVA (if I heard correct). After that, there were communications between field units (I was unable to make out unit numbers) to "county" and vice versa.

Does anyone have a clue who this may be??? I have yet to find anything that matches. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

It has to be a link output frequency, because if it were a repeater output the input would be on 473 mHz which is T-band. Go to the FCC database and see what you can find on Tarrytown; the frequency should appear there as well as the site location etc.

Yeah... I'm totally confused on this one. It is absolutely an output, but it definitely sounded like a patch off something else.......

I thought of that but didn't have enough time to screw around with it when I was receiving the tx's. In all honesty, I don't think that would matter anyway unless the dispatcher was on a repeater also. I was getting both sides of the convo on this...

This is a low power signal that relays 156.225 with a CSQ input which means you may also hear stations other than Tarrytown FD which transmits CSQ. I've heard the PA Turnpike Auth. and Tug boats transmitted across 468.1875 because 156.225 is also marine channel 64A.

Sounds like they are using the new MED Splinters in Narrowband.
